AbdesSalaam Attar, Perfumer-Composer

AbdesSalaam Attar, born Dominique Dubrana, is one of the pioneering figures of contemporary natural perfumery.

For decades, he has pursued an independent vision of perfume composition rooted entirely in natural materials and in the direct sensory experience of fragrance itself.

His work developed outside the conventions of mainstream perfumery and outside the logic of industrial fragrance marketing. Rather than treating perfume as a commercial accessory or a fashion statement, he approaches it as an art of composition, perception, and transformation.

His perfumes are composed solely from natural raw materials: woods, flowers, roots, resins, tinctures, sacred incenses, animalic materials like ambergris, and rare botanical extracts chosen for their olfactory beauty and expressive character.

Throughout his career, AbdesSalaam Attar has explored perfume not only as scent, but as a language capable of touching memory, emotion, atmosphere, and states of consciousness.

This vision became the foundation of La Via del Profumo.
