Linden trees belong to the Tiliaceae family, which consists of nearly 80 species native to Europe and found in northern temperate regions. The 5-petaled, fragrant, yellow to white flowers are collected after spring bloom, dried, and carefully preserved. The flowers are the most valued components of the linden tree.
Linden Blossom Benefits and Uses
Linden has been used to induce sweating for feverish colds and infections, reduce nasal congestion, and relieve throat irritation and cough. Linden has sedative effects and can be used to treat nervous palpitations and high blood pressure. Can be added as an ingredient in lotions to relieve itchy skin.

Really fragrant linden, lush and heavy with aroma. It smells like linden trees in high bloom, in the evening after a very hot day. I don’t feel much freshness (unlike the previous reviewer) but rather a very opulent, rich linden aroma. I ordered 200 ml to use in a signature perfume and everybody I showed it to were very impressed. Linden is a fragile note and requires significant skill to build a compelling perfume around it, but with this quality of ingredient one has an easier start. Excellent raw ingredient, thank you Salaam.

I will start this review of this product by saying that this product holds an emotional value to me. I was raised in Eastern Europe and linden trees are a common occurrence over there. And for good reason: the linden blossom season which starts in early May and goes until end of June is a period of magic. During this time everything is soaked in this scent. It is probably the most well known scent over there. More than lilies, more then roses, more than anything else. And still there are not even many perfumes that would emulate this scent. I have been looking for years for a linden blossom absolute, with no success. Everything i had were just pale shadows of the real thing. Until I came across Salaam and his linden blossom absolute. Which blew me away. Not only it is a perfect scent profile of the linden blossom but it is particular to the early blossom period, the freshness, the fizziness, the yellow green honey citrus precious nectar are all there. And the price is a steal in my opinion. I bought 150 grams and I plan to get more. Not that i need so much. I just want it. Badly. Because I am not sure I will ever come across something like it again.
