   Âmes sensibles s’abstenir.
   On est ici dans le compagnonnage des animaux sauvages.
   Amber Oud est un parfum primitif, au sens noble : archaïque, antique même.
   On se situe au-delà ou avant la civilisation (la société humaine).
   Il faut avoir le goût de la vie sauvage pour apprécier ce type de fragrance.
   Ou connaître de près la nature (sans le côté bucolique) pour apprécier.
   Amber Oud est un parfum sauvage et tendre à la fois.
   C’est comme si on était contre le pelage doux, la chaude fourrure d’une bête fauve.
   Le parfum est basique, composé de deux ingrédients fondamentaux.
   Tout l’art du parfumeur a été ici de bien doser deux très forts caractères.
   C’est un très bel alliage: tout est contenu ici en puissance (comme quelqu’un qui conduit une Ferrari en allant doucement). Le velouté, la rondeur cuirée de l’ambre apprivoise la note animale et agressive de l’oud.
   Cela donne à terme sur la peau un cuiré sombre, mâle, en même temps très suave.
   Plus il reste sur la peau, plus le côté élégant ressort, plus la fragrance s’adoucit.
   Amber Oud est un parfum spécialement fait pour des hommes virils et calmes.

   I received a sample of this along with my supply of musks and I must say I have been extremely amazed by Amber Oud. It has the subtle sweet nuances of Amber intertwined together with that distinct animalic oud kick that reminded me of an Indian Oud I came across a few months ago. The amber takes the edge of that animality which makes this fragrance complex yet very well rounded. As some who has experienced ouds both overseas and in the Middle East, I must say that Abdessalaam has truly captured this scent very well to the point that I can actually admire his artistry (yes I can say that about a few mls!).

   Amber Oud by is a woody oudy animalic scent that warms your heart and body. The awakening is all about oud and for the whole lasting time it is a battle between the sweet amber and the leathery animalic Laos oud. Fantastic for grey rainy days. Absolutely artistic work by Abdessalaam.

   A truly great interplay between oud and amber, the sharp edges of oud are tempered by sweet balsam and amber, but oud remains present and reminds you always – a tiger on his best behaviour but always prepared to pounce!

   A magnificent take on a real agarwood resin (a la Abdul Samad Al Qurashi) with all its “aged” array of “stuffy” nuances (musky, mossy, resinous, animalic, dirty, rubbery, honeyed, leathery, woody, fur-like, mouldy, steamy, camphoraceous).
   The rubbery/animalic (like castor sacs’ aroma exuding) feel conjures me more than vaguely the By Kilian Pure Oud’s boot polish-effect but while the latter creation is smokier Amber Oud is more mouldy/musky (and castoreum/truffles-like smelling). Hardly evolving juice, rising complex-multifaceted by nature di per se.
   Really close to Castoreum from the same house, with its wild-leather/fur’s mossy feel (and its vague aroma of mexical Mezcal yet buck/reindeer’s fur) while I detect as well a “black musk-typical” honeyed impenetrable dirtiness.
   A “veritable” raw material barely “caressed” and modulated by Dubrana in order to better “embellish” (and mitigate) its full range of “multiveined” prerogatives.
   La Via del Profumo Amber Oud is profound and arcane (but never oppressive and surprisingly wearable).
   I don’t know whether ambergris is included in the potion (and surely some ambery nuances are in here detectable) but the most prominent feel I pick up is probably musky, yes a black musk’s darkly honeyed presence quite oily, animalic (a sheer castoreum’s oil seems to wave under my disreputable nose) and fungous-truffly.
   Moderate projection and good longevity on my skin.

   The AMBER OUD has just the right combination of deep animal notes blended with the aroma of peaceeful amber that tempts one to come closer for more, like a magnet.
   The IHRAM is scent that took me to another dimension, beyond my senses. Simply put, it is sublime and sacred like a sacrament. I am strangely attracted to this otherworldly, and mystical composition of the art of perfume.
