The ship of seasoned woods smells of Patchouli and Vetyver, and the cargo is of Cinnamon, clove, and fresh citrus, with the absolute of ocean seaweeds in the background. Seaman’s Spice is the ultimate traveler’s scent. With it, I wanted to revive the spirit of the legendary “Old Spice” perfume of the 1970s, the fragrance that introduced me to perfumery.

Seaman’s Spice induces a joyful, reassuring familiarity, making it the ideal scent when you want to have this effect on others.
Seaman’s Spice is the ‘no nonsense’ scent (i.e., full of positive common sense). It satiates and gives physical satisfaction as if its aroma nourishes the body. It has the deliciously spicy smell of hot mulled wine and evokes the happy memories of winter and Christmas, the atmosphere of family and home.
It is soothing and instills positive feelings. It warms the soul and awakens the senses with suggestions of voluptuous sensuality.

Nick –
“It will particularly delight those who are not used to perfume themselves” could not be more accurate. This was the first perfume I’ve purchased since an ill-fated bottle of department store cologne for a high school dance. While it starts out heavy on the spice, it quickly settles into a subtle, toasty sweetness. I look forward to embark on my perfume journey and try more Abdes Salaam Attar scents, but I think Seaman’s Spice will be my go-to for years to come.
Perfume of the day –
I am not a big fan of the tea note on perfumes, however, and surprisingly, this is the one I like the most out of the 3 I have tried from the house.
Smells very spiced with cinnamon and cloves over grapefruit, more than a tea based fragrance. It actually smells like a cake, very warm and cozy. It makes me feel good!
