Description
The Sufi perfume
Arabia is a paradoxical composition originated by the combination of two opposite but complementary fragrances: the mystical Damascene Rose, the flower of eternal love, and the extract of Castoreum (beaver), savage and wild.
In Arabia, the perfume of the divine rapture sung by the Persian Sufis meets the rough animal secretion that awakes our primary impulses through our sense of smell.
It binds together the fragrance exhaling from the bodies of the saints with an aromatic substance meant by nature to hit the center of animals’ nervous system, the very part we share with them.
Between these two extreme scents, I have thrown a bridge of warm Arabic spices (Cinnamon, Cardamom, Nutmeg) and rare absolutes (Narcissus, Violet, Tuberose).
The whole perfume is bound by the deep underlying vibration of the Ambrette, another name of the vegetal white musk.
Arabia is a concentrate of energy and will appeal to who already owns the interior force that will enable him to wear it.
That is the reason why it is a perfume to choose for a journey when the energy that brings us to travel enables us to wear it.
In fact, the relative stillness to which the traveler is forced (bound as he is to stay on his means of transport), pushes him, to mentally interiorize the energy of his physical movement, projecting himself by thought beyond the limits of the body.
Arabia fosters this process up to the point that the traveler who is wearing it will feel uplifted by the force of the thought as by a sea wave.
Arabia may be used also in periods of transition or to support states of elevated energy, like the Sufis: ‘The Sufi is in this world without being of this world’.
As a traveling pilgrim, the Sufi is here with us, but his spirit is beyond the boundaries of the world.

Ravishing.
Arabia is…stunning. The description is very accurate as this is an UPLIFTING scent. Extremely vertical, wearing Arabia is indeed being carried up the skies while staying rooted on Earth.
The castoreum -on my skin- is subtle, enhancing the dance of the rose and the violet, spicied up by the cinnamon and lifted up by the citrusy nutmeg.
I could easily recommend it : it goes beyond categories. This scent appeals indeed to the soul and heart more than the nose and mind. Invigorating, uplifting, like a sunray going through a crystal.
Yet another mystical fragrance. Bravo.
