Description

The oil of cypress is useful during the periods of transition, such as career advancement, shifting home, or for great spiritual decisions, like changing religion. In these moments, also the floral remedy of Bach “Walnut” can as well be used with benefit.

The Cypress helps also in periods of painful transition, like mourning or the end of a love relationship. The Latin word “sempervirens” means “that always lives”, because the leaves of the plant are always green, but it can be also understood as referring to eternal life, as the antic roman and the Egyptians had dedicated this tree to their God of the dead and of the afterlife.

For thousands of years the cypress trees are planted in the cemeteries, perhaps to remind us of eternal life. The essential oil extracted from the tree can be used for giving comfort and fortitude in the moment of death, in the same way as Melissa. (P. Davis)
