Description

Mysore Sandalwood is considered the ideal sandalwood scent. Unfortunately, it has largely disappeared due to the rapid deforestation of the trees, which were cut down faster than they could grow.

The original tree species, Santalum album, was transplanted to Australia, where an essence very similar to Mysore Sandalwood has been produced for about the last ten years.

More recently, Santalum album has begun to be cultivated in other regions of India, resulting in an essence that is a worthy heir to the Mysore variety.

This new essence retains all the characteristics of Mysore Sandalwood, including its distinctive yellow color.
The scent is rich, resinous, sophisticated, and refined, with the delicate and enchanting finish that is typical of Mysore Sandalwood. It embodies the essence of ancient Indian civilization.
