Geranium essence is very similar in smell to rose essence. Their properties on the feminine genital apparatus are also very alike. Hormonal and uterine tonic, both Rose and Geranium help women during delivery as well as in menopause.

The superiority of rose essential oil in beauty and in power of spirit is clear, but Geranium can be a good substitute for Rose when the price is a problem for a fragrance.

Nevertheless Geranium has some unique qualities that confer it a lifesaving value that rose does not have.

It possesses the rare property of being “cortisone-like” and therefore it quickly neutralizes most allergic reactions.
