Long before it became the name of a project, La Via del Profumo had already become the name of that path.
For this reason, La Via del Profumo is not simply the name of a perfume house. It expresses the unity of a life in which perfumes, articles, courses and daily practice are not separate activities but different expressions of the same vision. Each has grown naturally from the others over many years, without following a marketing strategy or a business plan.
The word Via — Way — was chosen deliberately. Understood in this broader sense, beauty is not merely something to admire, but something to recognize, cultivate and express in the way we live.
This is why, for AbdesSalaam Attar, fragrance has never been confined to perfume alone. It is found in food, aromatic plants, incense, forests, gardens, resins, spices and the changing seasons. Learning to recognize these countless expressions of fragrance gradually transforms the way we perceive the world. Before composing perfumes, one first learns to notice that the world itself is already fragrant.
